General
Since 1987, students of business and economics have been able to use a computer room (‘CIP-Pool’) that is located on the premises of the Research Group Electronic Business at Templergraben 64, 1st floor, room 117.
Since summer 2014, the room is mainly used for teaching activities space. Thanks to visual media like a screen, a flipchart, and a projector, C.Le.Ver can also be used for teaching activities involving a maximum of 30 students.
In a restricted time schedule the room can still be used by students for computing and learning activities.

FAQ
- Does C.Le.Ver provide email and Internet access?
Yes! Each registered user has free Internet access on the installed computers. Available browsers are Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Because each student at RWTH Aachen University has their own personal mail address, we do not provide any additional mail addresses. Checking for emails, sending them and managing them can all be done via the installed Outlook and Outlook Express mail programs.
- Can I log in from home or from another chair/institute?
No! We don’t provide dial-in access. This is available, though, from RWTH Aachen University’s IT Center on Seffenter Weg. But you have to register for this facility at the Center itself – it isn’t possible to do this from C.Le.Ver.
- Can I copy software that is installed on C.Le.Ver computers?
No! The commercial software on C.Le.Ver computers is only licensed for use in the computer room. It is illegal to copy any software from C.Le.Ver computers, and any attempts to do so will result in prosecution!
- Can I bring my own software with me or install my own programs on C.Le.Ver computers?
No! Installing your own software on C.Le.Ver computers is not allowed! This applies too for shareware, freeware, and public domain software. Should there be sufficient demand, and suitable licensing conditions, we are of course prepared to install further software. If you find a specific tool is missing, please speak to us about it.
- Can I permanently save files on the server?
No! We don't offer diskspace to users anymore but here are a lot of services hosted by our university (e.g. Moodle, Sciebo) and a lot of internet providers (e.g. Google, Dropbox, Microsoft) who offer free disk space to users.
